Entrepreneurs Embrace the Good Life with Squeeze Fresh Smoothies

Phoenix, AZ – Colorado-based Squeeze Fresh Smoothies has scheduled a Discovery Day for entrepreneurs seeking a future in the fast-growing smoothie industry. Discovery Day is an opportunity for potential franchisees to experience Squeeze Fresh Smoothies and learn how Squeeze Area Directors provide them with unique marketing and business development support, as well as advice and tips for building a successful store. The event takes place Thursday, November 9th from 6 to 9 p.m. at the Hilton Scottsdale Resort & Villas, 6333 N. Scottsdale Road.

“Squeeze Fresh Smoothies are the best we’ve ever tasted and the stores have the most visually appealing designs we’ve seen, but that’s just part of the reason we chose to purchase the Phoenix area directorship,” said Chris Erlandsen, Squeeze Area Director for Phoenix. “Growth in Phoenix and surrounding areas is exploding and health food hasn’t even begun to penetrate the market. Because we don’t have a much of a winter here, we believe our smoothie sales will truly be year-round.”

Based in Colorado, Squeeze has evolved the smoothie bar concept by bringing together fresh ingredients in an artful combination creating more than 30 varieties of flavorful and healthy products, including fruit smoothies and squeezed-to-order juices and green teas.

Squeeze juice is 100% natural with no sugar added and menu options that offer lower fat and calorie smoothies. Squeeze also uses Individually Quick Frozen (IQF) fruit, meaning it’s picked ripe and immediately frozen to lock in nutrients and maximize flavor. In addition to traditional fruits, Squeeze also offers exotics like Açai and Amazon Cherry. All smoothies come with a free Squeeze Play nutritional supplement.

All Squeeze Fresh Smoothie stores are locally owned and operated which allows them to become part of the community and gives owners a greater opportunity to get involved in their neighborhood. Squeeze For Schools is a new program to benefit local schools with a percentage of in-store or in-school smoothie sales going to the project or program selected by the school.

“Our plans include finding qualified Squeeze franchise buyers, and training and assisting in the opening of a minimum of 35-50 Squeeze stores around the Valley of the Sun including Avondale, Scottsdale, Surprise, Queen Creek, Gilbert, Chandler and Buckeye” said Erlandsen. “Our commercial real estate broker, the Eisenberg Company, has already located some excellent potential store sites around the Valley.”

Squeeze stores are currently open in Colorado, Oklahoma, Texas and Virginia, and the company has plans to open 300 stores nationwide by 2010. In addition to Phoenix, Squeeze recently sold an area directorship in San Diego, where 36 stores will open over the next seven years. Squeeze also has an agreement in place to begin opening stores in Los Angeles and Atlanta.
